Driver Trainer/Road Supervisor

Assists in the overall management of the transportation department and contributes to the departments goals of increased efficiencies. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. The investigation and completion of required paperwork for vehicle accidents, work related injuries and incident reports. Any other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
This is a full time position. The work schedule has not yet been determined. Must be flexible, willing to work Saturdays and able to work long hours to fulfill obligations. Must have a high school diploma or a GED. An individual must have a valid Class “A” CDL driver’s license and a clean driving record. Qualified candidates must have a working knowledge of D.O.T. rules and regulations to include HAZMAT and previous related experience and/or training. In order to perform this job successfully you must be computer literate. Have the ability to regularly walk, stand, stoop, crawl, climb, sit, reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees. Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form. Experience using CADEC and/or Tripmaster are a plus.
