Distribution Territory Manager
Business Unit: GE Industrial, SecurityFunction: SalesResponsibilities: **HOT JOB**The Distribution Territory Manager is responsible for prospecting, proposing, and closing sales to new and existing distributors in the geographic territory assigned. This position provides field-based support to regional, national and independent distributors through regular on-site sales calls and telephone contact.Responsibilities include:
Growing sales volume through wholesale distribution
Communicating distributor needs to appropriate departments within the company and actively participating in the resolution of customer issues
Providing annual sales forecasts, reports, sales projections, and documenting customer interaction
Coordinating with Territory Account Managers to optimize the dealers through distribution opportunities
Merchandising distributor locations and ensuring appropriate stocking levels at local branch offices
Evaluating existing and potential customers and concentrating major selling effort on those customers that represent the greatest opportunity for volume growth
Creating quarterly and annual action plans based on opportunities identified
Actively supporting sales and technical training needs of existing customers
Investigating customer complaints and making recommendations for resolution
Maintaining proficiency on all sales and technical aspects of products
Participating in industry association meetings and trade shows
Ensuring that expenses are submitted timely and within budgetary guidelines
Obtaining current information from customers regarding pricing, products, promotions, etc. and conveying significant developments to management
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * Must have a bachelor's degree and 2 years security sales experience or high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of direct, relevant security sales experience Wholesale distribution experience Valid driver's license 75% travel required Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Must submit your application for employment through www.gecareers.com to be considered Must be at least 18 years or older Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process Must be willing to submit a background investigation as part of the selection process Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States Must be willing to accept an annual base salary that is not more than $80,000.Desired: * Strong team player Polished and proven sales and customer service skills Track record of managing and growing sales revenues Strong business and technical aptitude Excellent written and verbal communication skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Customer management programs Bachelor's degree strongly preferredGeneral: * ABOUT GE SECURITY: GE Security spans the globe as a technology leader in the rapidly growing electronic security industry that helps protect families, property and communities.
