Distribution Services Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Distribution Services Analyst is a key part of the Distribution Services group and is responsible for supporting the DCs through strategic initiatives, analysis, operational support, and systems support.

Responsibilities include: Completing daily and weekly Distribution reporting to measure DC performance. Identify improvement opportunities based on the reporting and participates in implementing these improvements. Administers daily maintenance and resolves issues within the WM systems to enable the DC to meet productivity targets. Participates in the implementation of a new WM system that will significantly reduce DC operating costs. Assists with Product Slotting within the warehouses and development of a new product slotting strategy. The goal is to reduce DC Labor, Store Labor, and Transportation Expense. Participates in the implementation of a new Slotting software package to advance PetSmart’s slotting program. The advancements include dynamic slotting, golden zoning, and using forecast projections to slot ahead of product arrival. Participates in multiple DC Network Modeling projects to determine the correct DC locations and product mix within each facility. The goal will be to minimize network expense while considering PetSmart’s 5-7 business strategy. Performs various analysis to support the DCs, such as holiday capacity planning, distribution expense analysis for new products, and DC storage media analysis
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree and one to three year’s work-related experience.
