Distribution Planner

U.S. Cotton, LLC has an opening for a Distribution Planner.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY:
Database administration including all general planning data in item master and all site specific planning information needed by purchasing, distribution and master scheduling; Coordination, execution, and administration of all site distribution planning activities; Coordination and administration of Corporate Cycle Counting Program.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Coordination, execution and administration of entire Cleveland distribution planning activities including but not limited to request review and execution and distribution order administration.
2.Timely and adequate communication of product movement with other Manufacturing sites, Distribution Center, and Customer Service.
3.Coordination with Master scheduling and shop floor analysts for distribution inventory requirements.
4.Coordination with distribution and inventory planning for finished goods throughout the system.
5.Reconciliation and resolution of Cleveland distribution and inventory discrepancies.
6.Suggests and communicates corrective actions for recurring reconciliation issues.
7.Responsible for the daily coordination for the site requirements the Corporate Cycle Counting Program.
8.Daily administration of count worksheets.
9.Administer interface with QAD.
10.Reconciliation of all variances, daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
11.Communication and follow up issues/resolution to appropriate plant and warehouse personnel.
12.Coordination of any site specific physical inventory activities.
13.Updating the QAD system for all new products.
14.Setting up information both in the item master and item site maintenance for all scheduling, planning and purchasing parameters.
15.Changing status of discontinued and inactive items.
16.Setting up and maintaining all network codes needed for distribution planning.
17.Other appropriate duties and projects as necessary and assigned.
18.Review CPIM Load Report.
19.Item status change for purchasing/review items for obsolesces.
20.Database management for logistics.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related field. equivalent work experience in warehousing, inventory control, distribution and supervision. CPIM preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
One to three years in a fast paced, multi-plant/multi-distribution, consumer products company; Knowledge and use of planning inventory management, and distribution systems; Knowledge of DRP and MRP principles; Knowledge of computer systems and information needed for planning and purchasing within an MRP/DRP system.
