ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Duties will vary based upon assigned location. The following are representative duties and are not all-inclusive.Packaging: some duties may include packing, wrapping, securing, or labeling containers. Restocks machine with packaging materials, such as labels, boxes, paper, etc. Fills customer or warehouse transfer orders from stored merchandise according to order specifications. Packs products for shipment by selecting appropriate type and size boxes when applicable, as well as checking and verifying all parts against written orders. Prepares boxes with packaging materials, and arranges products in boxes, packing according to shipping regulations. Closes and seals box, and enclose packing lists, shipping labels and other documents as necessary. May require packing products according to electro-static discharge (ESD) procedures, using anti-static packing materials.Shipping/Receiving: Receives incoming materials, unpacks, and checks shipments against bills of lading, packaging tickets and other records. Keeps records of quantity and condition of materials received. Completes bills-of-lading, express and parcel post bills, and local delivery receipts. Notifies truck lines of pickups and routes all shipments. Checks orders to verify that contents conform to accompanying paperwork. Weighs packages to determine shipping charges. Records freight costs and applies appropriate labels to indicate charges. Maintains logs of all products shipped. Verifies accuracy of all shipping documents, including packing slips, shop tickets, customer orders, part numbers, and bin box labels. Notifies supervisor of inconsistencies or problems. Places boxes in designated areas of the warehouse for freight carrier pick up.Stock Handler: Sorts and stocks supplies/parts into proper storage containers and bins maintaining adequate inventory levels and verifying stock prefixes and part numbers. Picks, packages, and transfers requested supplies/parts. May perform related clerical duties, such as preparation of transfer slips, control of pick cards, and maintaining records. May use computer terminal for basic inquiries and updating inventory levels. Gathers raw materials and parts from warehouse stock as directed by shop tickets or other documents. Determines quantities on hand, and notifies supervisor of shortages or other problems. May deliver materials to assembly staging areas for work in process.Inventory Control: Compiles records from ordering, shipping and receiving materials. Updates information on computer to maintain inventory records. Assesses stock supply and reorder status. Prepares and verifies requisition of additional stock items, using the appropriate forms.Inspection: Inspects completed work.May perform other duties as assigned.Licenses/Certifications:
Forklift Certification may be required.
ESD Certification may be required.Skill in:
Reading and understanding written instructions.
Performing basic mathematical calculations.
