Distribution Coordinator

We currently have a Distribution Coordinator opening on our DayShift and Night Shift.

Previous warehousing/distribution experience and/or computer skills a plus!

Job Functions:
Creates shipments for multiple brands and maintains picking operation with proper volume and efficient flow of work. Controls all picking activity within the distribution operation via order allocation systems.


Accountabilities:
·Reviews downloaded orders and process through the Warehouse Management System.

·Modifies “ship to” addresses as requested by Customer Service.

·Performs Order maintenance including, but not limited to: checking for errors in WMS, pin coding, and identifying shipments for 100 % audits.

·Communicates priorities generated by Customer Service in relation to air freight, messenger orders, pin coding, and no-charge orders.

·Creates shipment orders for loading of trucks while monitoring certain criteria.

·Responsible for flow rack maintenance including, but not limited to: the set up of new product codes, assigning pick lines and ensure they are set-up prior to releasing orders, setting up supersedes, monitoring-deactivated and discontinued product codes.

·Maintains a constant volume of work for order handlers, via order allocation.

·Set up and monitor launch activity for all brands.

·Inputs proper shipping mode identification code to ensure proper upload.

·Ensures orders are shipped using the correct mode of transportation.

·Interfaces with Domestic and International Customer Service.

·Groups and organizes international picknotes using various PC applications.

·Responsible for the organization, maintenance, and publication of rush lists to distribution management.

·Follows all safety and good manufacturing practices (GMP’s).

·Performs various other duties as assigned including assisting with the training of new employees.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:

·High school diploma or equivalent or related experience.

·Good communication skills and demonstrated knowledge of English, reading and writing.

·Physical effort required (must be able to lift up to 50 pounds).

·Basic knowledge of arithmetic.

·Must successfully pass written and practical tests and achieve scores equivalent to national standards.

·Must have 1-year previous clerical experience.

·Must be well organized and perform in a multi-task environment with excellent written and communication skills.

·Ability to navigate in computer systems such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, Intranet, warehouse management and distribution systems.

· Must have good telephone and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently.

· Must be able to work overtime as needed, including weekends
