Distribution Competency Leader and Transportation Risk

DuPont is seeking a Distribution Competency Leader to lead the corporation in distribution competency, transportation risk analysis, and in representing DuPont with the American Chemistry Council and the Department of Transportation.  The Distribution Competency Leader will Lead Distribution Competency Team in developing and implementing best practices and support activities globally in developing, maintaining and improving management systems for Distribution.  Stay abreast of Distribution issues globally and provide technical oversight and leadership.

Monitor and communicate regulatory requirements for Distribution.

Participate in updating Distribution standards as necessary.

Provide energy & leadership for developing continuous improvement & best practices for Distribution values and systems.

Work closely with Logistics to provide input into transportation safety programs.

Provide hands-on Distribution Consulting to Platforms, regions and sites as needed.

Conduct Audits in support of the audit program as required. 

Use Six Sigma methodology as a structured platform for risk management and other projects as applicable.

Develop transportation risk expertise and activities within and outside DuPont to drive consensus on appropriate direction as well as methodologies and data.

Set future regulatory direction by representing DuPont on external committees, special panels and other activities involving transportation safety and security risk management and influencing industry and regulators on the results. Maintain external recognition of DuPont as a leader in transportation risk management.Engage businesses on several levels to drive both awareness and knowledge of transportation risk management in company.

Develop risk communications competency. 

Create a competitive advantage for DuPont businesses by obtaining and retaining government authorizations allowing alternatives to published regulations, while creating solutions that meet transportation safety and security risk standards. REQUIREMENTS
B.S. in Engineering, Science or Mathematics. Risk assesment skills. Candidate must have knowledge of transportation and product regulatory requirements in the United States with a good appreciation of the global regulatory climate.
