Director of IT Vendor Management & Compliance

Employee Type: Full Time Regular (R) Job Description: Chicago, IL DUTIES: Responsible for ensuring vendor’s performance meets agreed upon milestones, deliverables, service level agreements and any other relationship metrics or obligations of either party

Responsible for working with the business/user groups to develop SLA’s governing application performance and user support service levels.

Oversee the development of operational procedures to ensure high availability of applications/systems.

Governance of change management process

Responsible for maintaining strategic alignment between the IT function and the various supported corporate groups

Acts a single point of escalation for all application support issues and interfaces with 3rd party outsourcer as a representative of the business

Responsible for the overall management of the 3rd party application outsourcer contract to ensure the prioritized needs of the business are met as cost effectively as possible

Responsible for the overall management of the 3rd party infrastructure vendor to ensure effective operational environment for applications such that high levels of reliability and availability are maintained.

Assess new and existing applications to determine if testing is required under Sarbanes 404

Review control documentation to ensure ‘key controls’ have been identified and properly documented

Facilitate compliance related training

Implement a continuous measurement process and provide management reports based on predefined metrics

Develop disaster recovery strategies and supporting plans that are consistent with business continuity objectives

Facilitate disaster recovery training related to planning, plan maintenance and execution to appropriate parties

Monitor plans managed by 3rd partiesREQUIREMENTS:

10+ years in IT related field, including experience with project management or major development projects

5+ years experience with IT operations including information security experience

Significant experience in sourcing, negotiations and/or IT contract administration

Ability to work effectively across various organizational and entity boundaries

Hands-on experience with the concepts, standards, and tools related to various IT audits, controls and software compliance
