Norandex/Reynolds, a $900 million unit of Owens Corning, is the largest distributor of vinyl siding in the U.S. The company operates 170 branches in 37 states and sells exterior building products to new home builders and remodeling contractors in their respective territories. Primary products include vinyl siding; vinyl, wood and aluminum windows/doors; decking, fencing and rain carrying gear. Other products may also be sold, depending on the need of the local market, including such things as carpeting, power tools and metal forming machines.
Truck Driver – Raleigh, NC
This position reports to a Warehouse Leader and is responsible for loading, delivering and unloading products to a customer’s work site or other location. The incumbent will also perform warehouse person duties as required when not delivering material to a customer.
Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect truck daily, before beginning deliveries, to assure that the truck is in safe operating condition.
Load and secure products on the truck in a manner that assures no damage to material in transit.
Assure that material loaded matches shipping documents and that products are in good condition.
Deliver material to customer’s work sites, warehouses, or other locations. Unload material at delivery site and secure as appropriate.
Assist in all operations of the warehouse when not delivering material to customers.
Operate the truck in compliance with all state and federal safety and administrative requirements, including maintaining the proper level of CDL, drivers log, and observing all traffic laws and load limits.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential Physical Requirements
Must be able, without assistance, to repeatedly lift and carry loads of up to 100 pounds throughout the day and walk with them, often over uneven terrain, to deliver them to the customer’s job site or other location.

Must be able to maintain a high level of frequency and intensity in other physical activities such as reaching, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling and crouching.
Must have good visual acuity, depth perception, color vision, and peripheral vision.
Must be able to pass a physical examination as required by the U. S. Department of Transportation.
Environmental Factors
The incumbent will be required to work both inside and outside in extremes of cold, heat and humidity, depending on the season and location.
The incumbent will be exposed to modest amounts of dust, fumes, noise and vibration.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
Must be able to read, write and speak English and be able to understand verbal and written instructions.
Must have a valid operators license. CDL license a plus.
Must have at least one year’s experience driving a 24 or 26 foot box type delivery truck and working in a warehouse environment.
Must be able to pass a USDOT medical examination and drug screen.
Must be able to present evidence of a good driving record, which is free of recent infractions and accidents.
Must pass a driving test as required by the Federal Motor Carrier.
Must be authorized to work in the US on an unlimited basis.
