DISTRIBUTION CENTER SUPERVISOR

Our client, a leading chemical manufacturer, is seeking an experienced professional to manage their inventory and shipping operations. They are seeking an experienced manager to provide leadership in their distribution center, supervising the processing of a large volume of customer orders, interplant transfers, as well as inventory management in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This position is located in the Los Angeles, CA area.

RESPONBILITIES INCLUDE:
Supervise the processing and fulfillment of customer orders in the distribution center.
Supervise the fulfillment of interplant transfers, as well as the maintenance of finished goods and raw material inventories.
Manage the day-to-day relationships with truckers and other shippers.
Supervise the loading and unloading of trucks, as well as other loading dock activities.
REQUIREMENTS
High school degree or better.
3+ years experience in warehouse and/or distribution management
Knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Knowledge of managing labor standards in a union or non-union environment.
