Job Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
Under minimal supervision, a delivery driver is responsible for fulfilling deliveries to customers over a dynamic coverage area. Responsibilities include: driving, route sequencing, order verification, loading and unloading of orders, collecting COD payments, return service and providing feedback from the field of customer service and delivery expectations.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Meetall company standards and DOT requirements for vehicles and Drivers.
Delivery - Loads and unloads truck. Verifies load against shipping manifest.
Prepares route to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient deliveries.
Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Responsible for Preventive Maintenance on vehicles. Maintains cleanliness of the inside of the truck.
Performs all task assigned in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
Drives truck to deliver such items as maintenance, repair, and operations supplies to customerÜs place of business.
Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive expedited delivery instructions. Immediately Communicates delivery, traffic, and safety issues to supervisor or lead.
Maintains truck mileage log.
Records sales or deliveries information on daily sales and delivery record. Obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery. Collects payment from customers and records transactions on customer receipt.
Builds relationships with customers by providing Exceptional Service - No Exceptions. Key field conduit for gathering accurate customer service and delivery expectations.
Back-up warehouse responsibilities. Performs other duties as assigned

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 21 years of age
Must pass the Drug Test
Must pass the Background Check
Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

CERTIFICATES/LICENSES -

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS - Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS -

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1 Year of experience Forklift experience CDL is preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES

The associate must have a clean driving record à current DMV report and passing a road test are required.

The associate must be able to read a map and accurately plan a route à passing a mapping test is required.

The associate must be able to maneuver large objects (i.e., range, water heater) with the use of a hand truck.

Ability to be bonded is required.

The associate must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math, and write legibly to ensure the accurate filing of a customer order.

The ability to follow and carry out instructions with minimal supervision is required.

Certification in Forklift operation and the capability to operate the unit safely is preferred.

Familiarity with PCÜs and other material handling equipment is preferred.
