As a Class A Commercial Driver, you will be responsible to:Drive tractor, maneuvering into position to attach trailer and handle lines to secure. Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off hour delivery.Inspect trailer to ensure product is secure for undamaged transport of product.Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.Maintain driver log (Manual or XATA) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.Driving tractor trailer and unloading product at multiple customer locations.Incumbent will ensure compliance with Federal and State Laws as they relate to DOT and any other applicable traffic regulations.Incumbent is responsible for customer satisfaction including on-time delivery of undamaged product.Incumbent will use on-board XATA device to record hours, stops and status.
Driving tractor-trailer within Federal and State regulations.Maneuvering tractor-trailer in all types of weather assuring that product is delivered on time and undamaged.This is a full-time, direct hire position that offers competitive wages.
You will be working 13 hour shifts. Start time between 11pm - 1am.
REQUIREMENTSClass A Commercial Driver's License required 100,000 mile tractor-trailer experience desired
Two years of related driving experience desired
Accident-free driving record for the past three years desired
