Job Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
Provides customer service to retail stores from a distribution center. Provides status of purchase orders utilizing electronic systems and reports; provides delivery information to stores. Serves as the primary vendor contact to research the status of purchase orders. Works closely with merchandising to resolve cancellation and revisions to purchase orders. Assists with the resolution of inbound and outbound shipping issues. Perform bypass function for direct vendor to store orders.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Worksopen P.O. and Late Report, Scheduling Report, inbound load maintenance, P.O.s received not loaded report. Solve descrepancies. Prioritize all ad items and rush merchandise. Have working knowledge of all systems needed to answer questions (FTS and IBM systems). Process all incoming fax requests from stores and vendors.

Answer phone inquiries from store customers in a prompt and professional manner. Answer questions accurately utilizing reports and systems. Escalate problems situations appropriately to management when necessary.

Work closely with stores to resolve concerns regarding P.O. status, deliveries and inventory scheduling. Communicates with merchandising and vendors about order status. Works closely with 3 Parties to resolve overages, shortages, damages and no freight P.O. Process bypass P.O.'s and coordinate transportation and deliveries to stores.

Maintain files for all stores and vendors. Investigates any paperwork discrepancies by retrieving shipping and/or receiving paperwork. Provides proof of deliveries. Ensures ample inventories of office and warehouse supplies. Other administrative/clerical duties as needed.

Performs dock walks to maintain shipping and loading compliance. Performs safety audit of facility to ensure compliance with safety SOPs. Ensure all operational processes and procedures are being followed. Audit inbound and outbound paperwork to ensure accuracy. Inspect and process vendor damage and procures return to vendor authorizations.

Resolves customer complaints or refers concerns to management when needed to ensure customer satisfaction. Makes well-informed, timely decisions. Follows through on executing assigned duties and reports.

NATURE AND SCOPE
Typically reports to Assistant Manager

No direct responsibility for supervising others.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Hours: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm Monday - Friday
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eighteen years of age
Must pass the Drug Test
Must pass the Background Check
Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

CERTIFICATES/LICENSES -

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS - Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS -

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2 years customer service experience in a retail or related work environment.

PC skills including proficiency in microsoft outlook, excel and word
