Branch Manager Trainee

Our client, the leading supplier of green goods for landscape construction in the South since 1973, is looking for a Branch Manager Trainee in their WEST PALM BEACH location. This position will be training to manage a distribution center. Qualified candidates will have experience managing in a wholesale distribution environment in the green goods industry. For example - John Deere Landscapes.
This position will go through a training period of 6 months to a year in these locations and then be transferred into their own branch located anywhere in Florida or South Carolina!!!The Branch Manager Trainee will work through the management training program while assisting the Branch Manager, office staff and sales personnel in carrying out their responsibilities. The Branch Manager Trainee is required to completed developmental assignments, working towards promotion to Branch Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have a 2 YEAR COLLEGE DEGREE!!!! Four year degree is preferred!
Must have 2+ years of Management Experience in a WHOLESALE DISTIBUTION environment!!
Must have management experience in Horticulture, Green Goods or Nursery environment!
Must have P&L Experience!
Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word!
Must be able to lift and move 40-80 pounds on a regular basis.
Must have excellent communication and organization skills.
