Bi-Lingual Production Supervisor and Bilingual LeadsABOUT THE COMPANY
We are a hybrid engineering services and “Insourced” staffing firm that provides comprehensive, task-specific labor management solutions in manufacturing and distribution. We are responsible for specific function(s) within a client’s organization. We engineer the process or task, train and staff and supervise the process/task, and continuously drive process improvements.POSITION SUMMARYThe production supervisor acts as a liaison between the client and the staff who work at their location. The main responsibilities of the production supervisor is to relieve the client supervisors of their labor related administrative duties pertaining to the staff ensuring a smooth relationship and a performance driven workforce. Additionally the production supervisor is to be the driving force behind achieving the customer stated performance standards and objectives.Leads are responsible for working directly with the employees and assisting the production supervisor in tasks such as assignment of work, monitoring work flow, on the job training of new employees, monitoring labor needs, etc.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR:• Attend account implementation meetings
• Schedule personnel forecast meetings with client management• Staff client personnel requests and recruit as necessary
• Conduct new hire orientations – policies, procedures, safety, job shadowing• Perform training as set up by the company and the client• Troubleshoot client management workforce concerns
• Be primary communication contact with staff• Ensure high level of employee morale to aid employee retention
• Make prompt management decision on personnel issues
• Perform on site risk management
• Monitor arrival time and attendance of staff
• Assure high quality payroll administration
• Continuously monitor staff and work area to ensure a safe work environment; immediately report and investigate all work related injuries and accidents• Monitor production efficiency and quality
• Complete and fax daily performance and attendance data updates
• Complete and submit all reports, forms and requests timely and accurately
• Comply and conform to company operating procedures manual
• Update client specific procedures in the company operating procedures manual
• Assure adequate and visible on-floor presence
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS:
• Strong Bilingual (Spanish & English) speaking skills required. Strong written skills in English also required.
• 1-2 years experience in a supervisory role preferred.
• Experience in factory, assembly, warehousing/distribution or other related environments preferred.
• Experience using computer and e-mail, including some proficiency in Microsoft office products desired.
