Account Manager

Bi-State Packaging, a Group O Company, has an immediate opening for an Account Manager. The person in this position:

• Specifies and sells packaging materials, equipment, parts & service to our prospective and existing accounts.
• Specifies and sells the packaging consumable products with the equipment.
• Supports our National Account Managers in the assigned geographical areas.
• Develops long-term relationships and becomes a resource for all packaging disciplines.
• Helps in developing long-term programs for equipment sales and service.
• Performs other duties as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
• General line equipment knowledge and ability to develop special proposals a must.
• Demonstrated Mechanical and Sales aptitude in customer communication and relationships.
• Technical knowledge of stretch films, shrink films, box-sealing tapes, and poly strap.
• Knowledge of competitive equipment installations in the assigned geographical marketplace.
• Effective verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
• Customer service oriented, with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Demonstrate an limited aptitude of electrical and pneumatic equipment and the ability to explain the basics to our customers.
• Able to create quotes and proposals in the pursuit of sales.
• Detail oriented, able to work with little direct supervision; well organized, with the ability to prioritize.
• Simultaneously maintain multiple projects and effectively follow through on projects.
• Strong critical thinking, questioning, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work well under pressure and in an environment full of deadlines, providing accurate output.
