Fingerhut Direct Marketing, a nationally recognized leader in the direct marketing of retail products to consumers, has developed aggressive growth goals that will require the addition of highly talented team members. Our Corporate Marketing Team located in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking an eCommerce Designer/Programmer to support our strategic vision and direction by leading the delivery of a visual creative strategy for our fingerhut.com website.
eCommerce Designer/Programmer
This creative and dynamic individual will be responsible for assisting in the development of the company’s eCommerce Web site. Key responsibility areas include working closely with Marketing, eCommerce, Merchandising and IT to implement ongoing site enhancements and updates. This includes design production for product promotions, features, and changes to the web site through the company’s content management system; delivering page-level programming to support design changes to the web site; and managing the load process for new content to the site. Additionally, this position will design and produce various HTML email campaigns.
REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor’s degree related field
•4 to 6 years of Web Production/Design/Development experience, including at least 2 years designing for a Web eCommerce environment
•Strong knowledge of Web and e-mail design including image optimization, UI design best practices, various Web browsers and understanding of Web development and production cycle
•Advanced skills in HTML, Quark, Photoshop, and Flash. Solid knowledge of XML, CSS, SQL, .NET, and other Microsoft technologies
•Strong Problem Solving, Project Management, and Communication Skills are essential for successful performance
