Job Description:

Responsible for the administration and maintenance of servers, workstations, peripherals and services to an Enterprise Windows 2000/2003 network.
Builds, configures, troubleshoots and integrates new and existing servers to provide service enhancements, application deployments and infrastructure upgrades.
Recommends software and hardware enhancements, diagnoses and corrects issues
Defines and implements new services with the goal of achieving maximum server uptime and availability for the customers.
Responsible for monitoring performance and system usage.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelors degree in a computer related field or equivalent experience, a minimum of 9 years experience plus 5 years proven hands on Windows Administration experience.
Essential qualifications for a successful candidate include: (1) strong interpersonal and communication skills, (2) ability to solve highly complex problems and work independently.
Proficiency with most aspects of computer systems management – new system installation and setup, printing systems, fundamentals of security and installing third-party software.
Familiarity with the architecture and protocols used in Windows environments; HTTP, FTP, DNS.
Requires solid understanding of the Operating Systems, Windows 2000 and Windows XP; for example, installs, upgrades, paging and swapping, devices and device naming conventions, and performance monitoring.
Familiarity with networked / distributed computing environment concepts; for example, name service configuration/maintenance, understanding basic routing concepts.
Requires that a candidate have proven senior system administration and troubleshooting experience with Domain Controllers, Exchange 2000 servers, DNS, DHCP, ISS Web servers and File & Print servers.
Experience with Windows 2000/2003 MCSE, Altiris deployment servers and Net IQ AppManager preferred.
Certifications and training in Veritas Netbackup and experience in writing Scripts to automated System Administration tasks are desired.
Requires a TS/SCI with CI Poly government security clearance or the ability to obtain
