permanent opportunity for a Web Designer. This position is responsible for the development and execution of all company e-mail communication pieces, flash site lts for sales initiatives and on-line trade promotional campaigns.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Develop and execute major sales communication promotional initiatives leveraging HTML e-mail, FLASH, and other online vehicles.


· Collaborate with Marketing, E-Marketing, Revenue Management, and Sales Communications teams to develop "on brand" online communication initiatives focused on appropriate need product



· Update and migrate promotional offers and other sales communication pieces from PDF environment to HTML environment including:

o Exciting Deals, Exceptional Offers, Resident, Seniors, Interline & Military offers, and policy and procedure updates.


· Customer facing communications, including enabling "click here" PDF version which allows travel partner to customize the offer with a flyer.


· Develop branded templates which can be used for major communication types. Partner with Marketing and e-marketing to ensure these templates are "on-brand" and in the spirit of the brand’s identity.



· Design, develop, and execute banners and FLASH sitelets to support trade incentives and promotional offers.


· Design, development and execute "e-vites" for inaugural festivities along with Elite annual events.



· Complete annual competitive assessment of travel industry sales communications strategies and apply ¿best practice¿ strategies in enhancing sales¿ web presence
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS

· BFA in Art/Design or related field

· Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in graphic design, with proven experience in web design, developing website architecture, HTML, ASP, Java script, CSS and project coordination of backend program development.


· Functional knowledge of print media design, including large format and traditional offset printing, as well as a working knowledge of processes and prepress.


· A strong working knowledge of the following applications: PhotoShop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Contribute, Flash, ImageReady, QuarkXpress or InDesign, Powerpoint, Microsoft Visio, and Excel.


· Proven ability to produce documentation such as site maps, user flows, functional & presentation specifications.


· Proven ability to process large amounts of information and present it in an "easy-to-understand" and engaging manner


· Superior design and typography skills and demonstrated conceptual ability.


· Travel Industry Experience preferred


· Superior verbal and written English communication skills
