Web Services and Java Developer - Target Software, Inc

Founded in 1992, Target Software
is a leading provider of software solutions for the expansive
non-profit sector. At our offices in Cambridge, Massachusetts, we
develop and host the industry-leading proprietary CRM software product,
Team Approach. The next generation of Team Approach will be technically
polished, appealing to the end users and web enabled. We are looking
for a Web Services and Java developer to join our growing team that is
developing a new web-enabled version of our industry-leading CRM
system. The new version of the product will also expose a Web Services
interface. The Web Services and Java developer will be a seasoned
professional with at least 3 years experience developing Web Services
and Java applications for Web-based systems. The ideal candidate will
also have Web UI development experience. The candidate should be
familiar with Agile software development processes and must be capable
of working in a dynamic, collaborative development team. The ideal
candidate would also be comfortable working directly with clients to
gather requirements and to review designs.

REQUIREMENTS
At least 3 years Web Services, SOAP and Java development experienceA strong grounding in object-oriented design and development techniques is crucial.Experience using the following technologies (in addition to
Java and Web Services): J2EE, XML, Apache Axis, ORM middleware (such as
Hibernate), UML, Oracle, SQL and UNIX and Linux. Familiarity with Open Source software.Experience writing unit tests using the JUnit frameworkKnowledge of Struts and/or WebWorkExperience with all phases of the software development life cycle.Keen interest in industry best practices, as well as the ability to apply them to the project under development.Results oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent combination of technical and interpersonal skills.Strong written and verbal skills.BS/BA in Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience (an advanced degrees would be a strong plus)Experience working in an Agile development environment is preferable.CRM, ERP or enterprise application experience would be helpful
Desired Experience / Skills:Web UI development (Servlets, JSP, AJAX, HTML, DOM, JavaScript,
Cascading Style Sheets, and Cross Browser Development) experience would
be a strong plus. Familiarity with Spring
