The Digital Media team provides design, development, and systems/site management for the Economist Group websites. These include www.economist.com, cfo.com and eiu.com. The primary responsibilities of the position are: to be the key contact point for our customers in the Group, the primary conduit of work into the Digital Media team, to understand and represent the interests of all parties and deliver cost-effective solutions that best meet the customer’s needs.ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
- Acting as a liaison between business functions and the Digital Media team and external technology partners.
- Developing good relationships with product stakeholders.
- Soliciting and establishing priority of work from the customer, including new development and operational requests, and scheduling resources to complete work.
- Planning and leading projects through the full project life cycle using internal project management framework.
- Collecting business requirements for functional specifications including establishing and working with cross-functional teams.
- Managing rollout of new products and upgrades including: performing Quality Assurance testing, documentation and training customers when needed.
- Creating and maintaining all relevant project documentation.
- Communicating progress and issues effectively to management.
- Investigating and managing problems or incidents with sites.
- Maintaining and sharing an up to date awareness of industry trends, new technology and exploring those that would benefit our business.DECISION RIGHTS:

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
• 2-4 years of experience in online media publishing
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Project management experience
• Superior organizational skills
• Ability to lead cross functional business teams in a fast-paced environment
• Strong web/technical background
• BA/BS degree preferred
