Web Developer- .NET

Purpose: Our financial client in Arlington, VA (Ballston) seeks a software engineer to conduct the technical design, integration, development, test, and deployment of technical requirements in support of the Bank Portfolio Asset Management and Money Management businesses.

Main Duties:

Define and document functional and technical specifications.

Develop and integrate commercial or custom applications/database in conjunction with internal IT and external vendors

Provide unit and system testing functions.

Work with business units and Project Manager in user acceptance testing.

Work with external vendors and internal business teams on integrating systems and platform, and systems setup.

Provide a unified data modeling, analysis, and management environment through data and process flow integration.

Background and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or MIS or equivalent experience. Master preferred.

6-10 years progressive applications development/integration and support experience for commercial and/or custom application systems environments

4-6 years experiences in client server development using VB6, VB.NET, C#, C++, COM+, MS SQL Server, XML, SOAP, ADO and ODBC. 2-5 years portfolio and/or money management system experience.

Direct experience using formal standards and procedures for development/integration/commercial systems deployment and project management.

Strong knowledge database systems principles/design, data construction and integration of applications systems.

Excellent customer service orientation, business communication skills and team orientation

Technologies:

4-6 years experiences in client server development using VB6, VB.NET, C#, C++, COM+, MS SQL Server, XML, SOAP, ADO and ODBC.
