Web Application Engineer

6 month contract with possible contract to perm position, but definitely 6 month contract.
Location is Ft. Worth/ right by DFW airport

Preferred skills are ATG, but Websphere or Weblogic may be substituted in the event there is not an ATG Dynamo resource available.
·Responsible for maintaining ecommerce Applications in support of multiple ecommerce websites.
·UNIX servers, system installations, configuration and overall administration. Support Solaris administration and Configuration.
·Provide DNS and firewall server maintenance, software installation and upgrades.
·Provide BigIP F5 load balancer maintenance.
·Provide general UNIX user support in support of Ecommerce Applications.

·Application support including Web Servers, Application servers Monitors and plan capacity, identify need for expansion and administer expansion
projects
·Responsibilities & Job Duties

·Administer web application infrastructure.
· Design/Implement infrastructure architecture.
· Install/configure app server (i.e. Websphere, WebLogic, ATG, Sun
Appserver), Install/Configure web server (i.e. Sun ONE
webserver/Iplanet/Apache),
· App Server configuration (JMS layer, load balanced WAR & EJB
instances/servers, LDAP security, SMTP config...etc).
· Java Performance tuning
· Monitor daily logs and resolve issues
· Deployment of custom developed of J2EE applications.
· Experience with source control and build deployment processes using
ANT scripts. Would prefer experience with MKS source control system.
· Deploy web applications (i.e. Websphere, ATG, BEA Weblogic )..
· Automate the deployment process (i.e. custom process).

REQUIREMENTS

Experience / Qualifications

Web application experience in ATG Dynamo, Websphere or Weblogic
Minimum 2-3 years of development and/or administration experience in a
clustered web application environment.
· Administration of web application environment
· Understanding of ATG, Websphere, and/or Weblogic architecture and
there related tools.
· Configuration for clustered web application environment
· Experience with J2EE application platform configuration and
performance optimization.
Miscellaneous Other
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to deal with a dynamic development and work well in a small
team environment.

* Application Server: WebSphere, ATG Dynamo 7.2+,

* Platform: Sun Solaris, AIX
* Database: Oracle
* Programming: Perl, shell,
Writes documentation and user manuals to describe system maintenance and
operating procedures.
Assists other system administrators to solve UNIX network-operating
problems.
Assists users to solve operating problems.
Administer and maintain all compiling supporting tools.
Maintain Monitoring Software for UNIX Systems
Manage hardware infrastructure to guarantee availability and performance of
software tools to development groups.
Anticipate future resource needs and make sure they are in place before
needed.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills etc.,
A Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems or
computer-related field from an accredited Junior College, technical school
or four-year college or university or equivalent on the job experience.
Experience preferred
Must have 6 years computer systems or network experience with 6 years of
network or systems administration experience.
Must be able to read and interpret network design and development technical
manuals and procedures.
Must have 6 years of Solaris and Sun Hardware.
Must have strong exposure to Oracle Databases
Must have knowledge of at least one scripting/programming language. Perl,
Shell scripting etc.
Prefer 2-5 years industry specific experience.
