Additional information can be found on our website, sig.com.Job DescriptionAs an integral part or SIG's Core Technology Team, The Web Application Administrator will have the opportunity to take ownership of web infrastructure projects, processes, methodologies, and best practices; playing a key role in directing the evolution of SIG's web infrastructure toward service oriented architecture.In this role, you will participate in web release management and planning, developing and executing software/content release plans based on requests from application developers and end users. You will manage the configuration of ASP and ASP.NET web applications across a set of fault tolerant server farms and will monitor and optimize the health and performance of web applications, servers, and related network components, providing higher level web application issue investigation, identification, and correction to the systems support and operations teams. You will also have the opportunity to evaluate and enhance application deployment capabilities with proprietary and third-party software tools and to develop and maintain web application usage reports and support custom ad-hoc requests from end-users.Through frequent interaction with database administrators, systems administrators, application developers, traders, business unit heads and senior management, you will have the opportunity to learn every facet of our business and provide innovative solutions to complex technical problems.
REQUIREMENTS
Three (3) or more years relevant enterprise configuration management experienceExcellent technical, communication, organizational and negotiation skillsAbility to meet deadlines and work well under pressureMust enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment and dealing with a variety of peopleBachelor's degree or equivalent work experienceA thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows 2003 Server/IIS6/ASP/ASP.NET application hosting environments is requiredExperience with structured software development processes is preferredExperience with formal software quality assurance/testing methodologies is preferredSoftware development skills or understanding of Windows Script Host based automation via WMI and ADSI is preferredOracle RDBMS experience is a plusFinancial services or market knowledge is a plusSalary/BenefitsAt SIG, our employees are our most valued assets.
