Video Project Engineer

Daktronics is recognized worldwide as a leader in the large display industry. The company designs, manufactures, sells, and services a variety of display products in three primary markets: sports, commercial, and transportation. Sports market customers include schools, colleges and universities, professional teams and facilities, sports federations, and international events and organizing committees. Commercial customers include financial institutions, hotels and motels, gaming, auto dealers, convenience stores, shopping centers and other retail establishments. Transportation applications include display systems for state and city departments of transportation, mass transit systems, airlines and airports, bus terminals and other transportation agencies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Video Products Electrical Project Design, communicate electrical aspects of Project to fellow team members.
2.Coordinate work with outside electrical engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
3.Provide necessary electrical support for Sales and Project Management Team
4.Produce electrical Riser and One-Line diagrams utilizing AutoCAD.
5.Specify electrical requirements for projects of all sizes.
6.Be responsible for necessary system integration/design.
7.Definition of system requirements for various size projects.
8.Perform electrical estimates utilizing MC2 estimation software.
9.Travel to perform site visits and occasionally assist with design implementation in the field. Trips are approximately 2 to 3 days and vary from 1 to 6 trips per year.
10.Work effectively as a team member, work with little supervision, and communicate effectively with Sales, Project Management, Customers and Team Members. Effectively become involved with product and process improvements.
11.Use good judgment in difficult situations and make good decisions.
12.Consistently complete work in a timely manner.
13.Perform other duties as assigned and required to meet customer expectations.
14.Become knowledgeable of company policies and procedures.
15.Have ability to delegate work to assistants and students.
REQUIREMENTS
1.AAS degree in Electrical Construction, BS Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent electrical field experience.
2.Computer Software experience to include AutoCAD.
3.Knowledge of or experience with Daktronics products is preferred, but not required.

5.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6.Able to work on own and be a self-starter.
7.Dedication and desire for quality performance.
8.Willing and able to travel via air (domestic and international) along with ground transportation. Have a valid drivers license and good driving record. Motor vehicle records will be checked.
9.Able to work on job sites and assist with installations. This may include climbing ladders, working at various heights, carrying equipment (50 lbs or more) and/or either working inside or outside.
10.Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
