User Interface Designer

Computech is a rapidly growing information technology consulting firm working with government agencies, large corporations, and major associations on mission-critical applications, systems, services and products. We seek a highly motivated professional with at least 3 years of user experience interface design work and a matching online portfolio.Responsibilities:
- Transforming abstract concepts with minimal visualization into visually elegant web-based applications that adhere to usability principles
- Conducting user analysis, task analysis, UI mock-ups, user interaction models, prototypes, design briefs, design specifications, and screen flows with little direction
- Leading user/design specification meetings and devising coherent diagrams for review by team members and customers
- Collaborating with internal creative and technical teams to ensure that web designs meet both client and end user needs
- Developing fully documented designs of interactive web based applications that can be easily interpreted and implemented by experienced software developers
- Designing and building web pages using HTML, CS2, JavaScript, ActionScript, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Visio, XML, and XSLT
- Adhering to existing design standards, including Section 508
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:- Must understand and employ an user-centered approach and have an excellent track record designing web-based applications UI
- Experience conducting task analysis, user analysis and usability testing
- Expert knowledge of Section 508
- Expert knowledge of CS2 and HTML
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytic and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic team-oriented environment as well as independently
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment while meeting deadlines
- Willingness to work extended hours, if necessary, to complete projects according to schedule
- Must be detail oriented
- Bachelor of Fine Arts or related field
