UI Designer

We are currently in search of a UI Designer to work a contract in the Eagan, MN area.

Duties will include:
• Develop prototypes, storyboards, annotated wire-frames and mockups based on functional interaction requirements.
• Create process and experience flows
• Write UI Specifications for integration with product and platform requirements
• Work collaboratively with others to design and specify the user interface for a software product
• Work closely with business and technical teams to ensure successful user interface specification, design, and implementation
• Work with product development to conduct customer studies of mockups, prototypes and existing interfaces; and iterate designs based on usability test results
REQUIREMENTS
Education, Skills & Experience
• 2 or more years of experience in product development teams working on UI design.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred concentration in Human Factors or Visual Design is highly desired
• Extensive experience with the full development life cycle
• Ability to translate user needs and goals into highly functional UI Designs
• Strong written and verbal skills, including the ability to work with multiple functional and business teams
• Strong client-facing skills
• Experience with 3 of the following: User Experience Design, Prototyping, Information Architecture, and Usability
• Knowledge of how to best design to solve business and user problems. Ability to understand the needs of customers.
• Design fundamentals including information design, visual design, industry UI standards, ease of use best practices.
• Experience with design tools is required. Illustrator, Photoshop, Visio, Dreamweaver. Flash or Visual Studio experience is a plus.
