Trainer/Technical Course Development


6 Month Contract Assignment
Pay rate: Up to $28 per hour

Our client, a major aerospace defense contractor, is seeking an experienced Trainer/Technical Course Developer to produce well written, instructionally sound training materials including course outlines, participant and facilitator guides, handouts, job aids and self-study materials. Successful candidate will also develop and conduct train the trainer courses. Responsibilities will include:

•Application of advanced learning technologies including designing and developing E-learning courses with interactive activities and measurement.
•Analyzing training needs by consulting with customers and subject matter experts.
•Reviewing existing course materials and source document to obtain appropriate course content.
•Providing blended learning solutions and instructional design strategy.
•Producing design documents to include needs analysis, task analysis, learning objectives, course outlines and creative storyboards.
•Producing learning objectives, content outline, flowchart demonstrating lesson logic and remediation, mockups and templates to include user interface/navigation, quizzes, and interactive elements.Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have a Bachelors Degree, formal education in Instructional System Design (ISD) and 3 to 5 years of instructional design experience. A working knowledge of content learning management system (LCMS) is required. Must be familiar with instructional development tools such as Learning Management System (LMS), Snag It, Adobe Acrobat, Camtasia, Captivate, Propel, Outstart, Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Suite. Proficiency in MS Office Suite is essential.

Individual must also have strong consultative and relationship building skills and be an effective communicator both written and verbally. The ideal candidate will be able to work in both a team environment and work well independently.
