The Kirby Company has an immediate opportunity within our Operations Group for a Tooling Engineer. This individual will have primary responsibility for organizing, planning and coordinating our die cast and plastic tool support activities for internal customers and external suppliers. In addition, this person will have responsibility for total tooling management which includes the initial product design input, tooling design, tooling sourcing and delivery.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate must have an engineering degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Mechanical Engineering. We seek 5-8 years of product design for manufacturability coupled with tooling design. Experience sourcing tooling overseas is a must have. We also require a professional demeanor, who works well independently yet is good at building and maintaining relationships. Product launch experience would be helpful.
