Telephone Switch Engineer

Classification: Consulting Compensation: $50000 to $65000 per year Looking for Voip specialist in the Louisville area. Candidates should be able to establish and provide SME knowledge for the VoIP switching platform configuration (numbering plan, routing tables, and rate tables). Consultant will be working with the District engineering staff and the equipment vendors to develop and resolve strategic and architectural issues that arise from the VoIP switching configuration tables. Responsibilities will include:
Preparing corporate standards and assisting the District's engineering staff in the preparation of VoIP switch deployments, augments, and re-homes.
Prepare corporate standards and guidelines and assist the District's engineering staff in market specific configuration tables.
Monitor & prepare monthly Telephone Key Performance Indicators and Capacity Metrics to manage Switch Resources (Telephone Numbers, Trunks, Processing, Storage, and so on).
Assist in the creation, evaluation and assessment of capital budget costs associated with specific network systems for telephony and related network elements.
