Perot Systems delivers consulting, business process outsourcing, application development, and infrastructure services on a worldwide basis to commercial and federal government clients. We are currently building a team of VistA (Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture) experts to combine with our commercial healthcare staff to create a world class VistA support team. This team will support both federal and commercial clients interested in implementing, or enhancing the VistA solution in their environment.Our approach combines a broad range of clinicians, business analysts and IT specialists to bridge the gap between technology and the delivery of high-quality patient care. This approach fosters the establishment of IT best practices, utilization of performance based tools, and operational efficiencies within the VistA solution.We are seeking both entry level and seasoned professionals, in various locations across the US, that bring working understanding and experience with the VistA solution, and who have wide-ranging abilities to participate in an integrated team. Potential candidates must be US citizens that possess a strong team work ethic, be client focused with great attention to detail, and have a dedication to our nation's veterans. The Perot Systems team has a commitment that supersedes individual achievement and a passion for excellence.Perot Systems is looking for a team of experienced technical writers to produce technical and functional documentation, user manuals and training materials, external communications (mailings, web pages, etc.) and internal team communications.Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 2 years of related experience.Requirements:

Proven experience researching, designing, writing, editing, and publishing user documentation in various media

Experience with publishing tools such as FrameMaker, Acrobat, RoboHelp, WebWorks

Understanding and ability to translate technical information

Ability to function with complex technical environments, to quickly and easily assimilate new product knowledge

Strong initiative and personal responsibility to pursue information required to perform job, such as researching a plus

Following Technical Publications quality and document control procedures to ensure that user documentation requirements for products are met

Working closely with other technical writers and with subject matter experts

Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearanceDesired Skills:

Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle

Experience in healthcare IT industry
