Technical Analyst – Application Support

Fingerhut Direct Marketing, a nationally recognized leader in the direct marketing of retail products to consumers, has developed aggressive growth goals that will require the addition of highly talented team members. We are seeking an Application Support Technical Analyst that will maintain the company’s strategic systems and initiatives by providing technical expertise to our internal and external customers.

Technical Analyst – Application Support
You are a self-starting results oriented individual who will be responsible for supporting the architecture, application, process implementation, and general production support of our critical business applications.

You must be proficient in working directly with an end user community to provide ongoing support. You will work in a team structure within and across development, support and infrastructure teams to plan and execute business initiatives.

You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining procedures to solve complex problems surrounding application systems, operating systems, hardware, performance concerns and constraints. Reasonable On-call responsibilities rotate amongst team members so that we can provide Mission Critical business 24 x 7 business support.
REQUIREMENTS
-Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
-3 years practical experience in one or more of the following: VB.Net, VBScript, VB, C, C++, C#, Java, or JavaScript
-Experience in Microsoft SQL Server
-Strong understanding of the use of DML
-Retail and/or eCommerce Web Development
-Approachable, diplomatic, adaptable personality
-A desire to solve problems!
