Systems Enterprise Architect/IT Strategist
Key Role:Support the NMCI client by providing EA support and expertise. Provide consultation to DoD chief architects and CIOs in effectively managing Enterprise Architecture (EA) programs. Serve as client lead and advisor; and help to shape the vision, direction, and plans for EA programs. Lead project teams of 6+ project staff in providing full lifecycle EA support, including baseline development, target development, transition planning, implementation and segment architecture, EA governance, EA program management, EA communications, EA integration with related disciplines, including IT portfolio management, systems engineering, IT security management, and business and IT strategy development, EA assessment, procedural and organizational impact analysis, and EA tool selection, use, and management. Direct teams in advanced modeling and analytics across all architectural layers for complex organizations, including strategy, business, data, applications, systems and services, technology, and security. Develop appropriate EA methodologies, frameworks, and approaches to address client objectives and drive EA toward business results. Facilitate stakeholder work sessions focused on making enterprise-wide decisions that balance and prioritize competing interests of individual stakeholder groups. Communicate the value and relevance of EA to senior business executives or program officials.
Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with DoD IT consulting
-3+ years of experience with EA methodologies and frameworks
-3+ years of experience with project and program management and leading small teams, including staff, budget, and client relationships
-BA or BS degree required
-Secret clearance required
Additional Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience in working within a DoD CIO or senior management office
-Experience with leading a full lifecycle EA program support project, including baseline, target, and transition plans
-Experience with EA modeling and analytics, including IDEF notations, BPMN, or UML
-Experience with EA and IT governance, EA communications, and EA program management
-Knowledge of federal government IT legislation, policy, and drivers, including Clinger-Cohen Act, OMB Circular A-130, electronic government, or President's Management Agenda
-Experience with EA, IT Architecture, solution architecture, segment architecture, architecture, IT Strategy, Strategic Planning, SOA, BPR, FEA, FEAF, DODAF, Spewak, Zachman, enterprise, Metis, Telelogic, Popkin, Troux, portfolio management, PfM, CPIC, or ITIM
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
