Systems Engineer I (Web Application Developer)

The IT Services Department of Wishard Health Services is seeking a Systems engineer I With Web Application Development skills to fill an open position in a service-oriented development group. Candidates must possess and demonstrate strong skills in JavaScript and other scripting languages such as PHP. Additionally, the successful candidate will have familiarity with fundamental Project Management skills and basic application development, lifecycle techniques. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of Lotus Script, AJAX and/or .Net programming. Serves as a technical resource and ensures proper operations with regard to network architecture, planning, implementation, maintenance and problem resolution for all data resources within Wishard Health Services.
REQUIREMENTS
This is a full-time position with regular (8A - 5P) weekday hours. While Web Design skills are a plus, this is not a Web Design position and primary job responsibilities will entail rapid development of business applications using a combination of the technologies mentioned above. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the forward-looking portal development effort that is taking place at Wishard. This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground level of a large development project that will have substantial positive impact on hospital business. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 5 to 7 years varied/related experience in a hospital or large institutional data processing environment may be accepted in lieu of education requirements. Relevant certifications/training, experience for areas of technical responsibility (e.g.A+/Net+, MCSE/MCSA, CCNA/CCDP/CCIE, CNE, PMI/PMP, CCSA, etc.).
