RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES- This position analyzes, designs, programs, and implements moderately complex business applications as assigned; performs timely maintenance of existing business systems to ensure they meet user requirements; and cooperates with computer operations personnel to ensure the programs and applications operate effectively and economically. Specific duties include:

         Support for existing intranet web applications.

         24-hour on-call availability for consultation, problem resolution, and computer solutions implementation.

         Thorough knowledge of and/or experience with Visual Basic, Access, SQL Databases, SQL Server Administration, and Web-enabled (i.e. HTML, ASP, ASP.Net, etc.) solutions.

         Designing, developing, and maintaining application solutions to support the UPG’s initiatives including an Intranet environment specific to the location/division.
REQUIREMENTS


Qualifications for this position include the following skills and abilities:

         Degree in computer science or MIS preferred.

         Three to five years experience in programming, maintenance, and providing analysis of moderate to complex computer systems, supporting a complex intranet structure.

         Good oral and written communication skills.

         Experience with ASP, ASP.Net, HTML, Microsoft Access, SQL Databases, ODBC OLE connectors, VB.Net, Visual Basic, ASP, ASP.Net, HTML, IIS, SAP interfaces, ABAP (optional) and design/support of a unified Intranet environment.

         Ability to work with local and remote management teams and local customer base on complex projects with varied degrees of day-to-day interaction.

         Proven application documentation skills including scope, design, development, implementation, and support documents/models to insure adherence to established policies, guidelines, and legal requirements.

         Support Intranet environment while working with the Inter/Extranet Development team to provide homogeneous business solutions. .

         Self-starter capable of dynamically working on multiple tasks and can communicate scope or project issues/questions back to management or users as required.

         Excellent interpersonal skills for interaction with persons in all levels of management as well as internal and external contacts.
