System / Network Administrator

Apollo is seeking an experienced System/Network Administrator to assume primary responsibility for hardware and OS support and network management of Apollo's growing multi-site enterprise. The network is principally Windows-based, relying on Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP desktop clients.The candidate must be familiar with all standard concepts, practices, and procedures for supporting a Windows networking environment. Candidate must utilize both logical deduction as well as creative thinking to solve challenges. Must be able to work independently and productively under general supervision.
In addition to front-line operational support the desired candidate would also be able to support development efforts for both automation of internal business processes as well as customer-facing solutions (e.g. Apollo Web site).
REQUIREMENTS
Job Responsibilities:- Installation, set up, configuration, and support of all network devices including Windows servers, Windows XP clients, printers, and network-attached storage.- Troubleshoot client and network issues. Provides technical support and guidance to users.
- Support all devices, applications, security, and network configurations.- Develop and maintain processes for support of all network devices with focus on automation. For example, maintaining system software installations, software restrictions, application security, and system settings via AD.- Develop and maintain end-to-end network monitoring solution.- Maintain and improve network security.
- Maintain disaster recovery plan.
