STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS

Opus Architects & Engineers, Inc. has openings for Structural Engineers of all levels of experience as well as recent or pending engineering graduates in our Minneapolis office. We are looking for engineers who can perform structural analysis and design for a wide variety of multi-family, commercial, industrial, institutional, government and retail projects nationwide. Nationwide travel is an opportunity due to our national office network.
Works effectively under the direction of Manager, Structural, and others in supervisory capacities.

•Performs, directs and manages analysis, design and contract document preparation on projects of medium to large size, of a moderate to highly complex nature with limited supervision of an experienced engineer.

•Directs and reviews work performed by outside consultants.

•Performs tasks within the defined schedule and project budget.


•Provides project information and direction to other engineers and technicians on assigned projects.

•Provides direction as required to solve construction related issues.
REQUIREMENTS
Engineers with four years or less experience should have a Master of Science degree from an ABET accredited institution in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering with an emphasis on Building Structures, and have passed the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering examination.

For candidates with 5 or more years of experience, a Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited institution in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering with comparable structural design experience to our project types, and including professional engineering licensure is acceptable. All candidates should demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication, team building and decision making skills.
