Structural CAD Designer

A national building supply company is seeking a structural CAD designer in the Tampa Bay area. They are offering competitive salary and benefits.


Job Description:
-Works with Contractor sketches to prepare actual AutoCAD drawings of a variety of Aluminum Pool Enclosures & Screen Rooms
-Modifies drawings as necessary to meet the Florida Building Code
-Consulting with the Engineer on a daily basis
-Coordinates and communicates with our Contractor customers and other team members
-Assesses impact of building codes and other regulations on projects
-Furnishes drawings, copies, reports, mailings, etc., as necessary
-Represents the firm and market its capabilities.
-Develops and implements an individual Professional Development Plan to expand knowledge of the Aluminum fabrication Industry.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
-Four years experience as a structural designer
-Four years experience using AutoCAD
-Good math aptitude and communication skills
-Creative ability - combine practical construction knowledge with artistic ability to turn contractor sketches into CAD designers
