Store Designer

Develops store interior design, decor and plan concepts, programs and criteria to provide the most effective, efficient and appealing store
environment in support of planned objectives of the merchandising teams and optimum customer appeal.Major Responsibilities:Develop conceptual plans and designs for projects ranging from individual fixtures and specific departments to entire store concepts
Complete design development drawings and details to support new design initiatives
Act as the Design Project Manager on assigned projects and be responsible for meeting all requirements of the given scope of work including; completing the project on budget and on time
Coordinate and communicate Store Environment projects with Merchandise Divisions, Procurement, Visual Merchandising and Operations.
Maintain and communicate new design criteria and guidelines
Manage and coordinate fixture rollout programs with the Merchandise Divisions, Operations and Procurement
Research, select and specify colors and materials as needed with consideration to cost, maintenance and durability
Coordinate with consultants, vendors and contractors as needed
Prepare conceptual plans and feasibility studies for new merchandise programsSkills Required:Excellent visual, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to relate to management on many different levels
Ability to direct and coordinate associates through various phases of the design development process
Outstanding organizational skills with a passion for detail and excellence in execution
Working knowledge of finishes and materials
Extremely self-motivated with the ability to work individually or as part of a team
Focus on customer satisfaction and work ethic integrityMinimum Qualifications:Bachelors of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design
5 years of store design and project management experience
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office(Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
3-D rendering capability and Photoshop knowledge a plus
