Sr. Unix Administrator

Classification: Consulting Compensation: $75000 to $95000 per year Robert Half is seeking a Sr. Unix Administrator with four to six years experience in a Unix environment.
This person will Provide 1st & 2nd level support to IT&T staff and clients related to operating system components and infrastructure.Knowledge of AIX (5.2/5.3), and/or Linux internals, performance monitoring and tuning, device management.Able to set up and install new servers, printers, etc.Ability to perform Backup and Restore of OS and data STORIX and IBM's Tivoli Storage Manager or equivalent.Able to setup, configure, and maintain Brocade SAN switches and/or IBM Disk arrays.Experienced in IBM PSeries - LPAR technology (P570, P590) and HACMP.Competent in configuring and maintenance of UNIX sendmail, DNS, NIS and LDAP.Skilled in local file systems, volume management, and NFS maintenance and configuration.Prior experience supporting networked users in a software development environment (compilers, applications, etc.).Proficient in user account management and security.Experienced in programming in any one of the following languages: C, Perl, AWK, Bourne shell, and/or Korn shell.Performs intermediate level design, implementation, and maintenance tasks associated with operating system technologies.
