Responsible for the conceptualization, design, development, and introduction of new filtration, water treatment, and/or separation products. Uses appropriate engineering methods as well as theoretical and empirical techniques in the design of new products.
Required to lead multi-disciplinary teams through the product development process. Must fully understand and follow design control procedures. Must be able to manage and lead multiple projects at the same time.
Responsible for project planning and execution, as well as providing project status reports to Senior Management.
Works directly with customers to develop designs as required. Works collaboratively with key customers to understand product applications.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (BSME preferred).
5 plus years product design experience.
5 plus years of proven project management experience (successful record in managing projects involving large capital expenditures).



DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:


filtrations and/or separations industry
electro-mechanical systems also preferred
pressure vessel and seal-component design
both plastic and metal component design.
Design of Experiments (DOE) techniques
Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly (DFM and DFA)
Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Statistics and statistical analysis
Solid Works or experience with similar CAD solid modeling software
Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
Ability to implement and follow design control procedures
Ability to improve the methods utilized in the product development process
Strong leadership skills
