Sr. Java/J2EE Developer

This Java software engineer will be responsible for all development aspects of an E-Business application development project. Will be involved in every phase of the software development lifecycle and work closely with team and customer to ensure success. Candidate should have consulting experience and be able to demonstrate excellent communications skills in a team environment. Follow, enforce and contribute to methodologies and standards during application development including coding, testing, deploying, integrating and maintaining web applications. Coordinate with project managers to meet implementation time frames. Analyze and learn existing systems in order to make modifications and enhancements.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidate will have 5+ years of development experience and prefer 3+ years in a consulting environment. Should have the ability to understand and analyze a customer's business requirements and design solutions including portals, e-commerce, marketing, and B2B sites. Follow, enforce and contribute to methodologies and standards during application development including coding, testing, deploying, integrating and maintaining web applications. Must have 2+ years of Java/J2EE experience that includes servlets and JSP. Must have solid experience with Unix, Oracle, and SQL. Experience with XML is a must! Other technical experience that would be a plus includes: IBM Websphere (certifications would be great!), Perl, Apache, Tomcat, Struts, and Eclipse.Candidates must be permanent residents of the US. No relocation assistance is provided, local area candidates preferred. This is a three to six month contract to hire position.
