Sr. Internet Software Developer

With little or no supervision, develops and builds applications within department in a fast-paced object oriented environment. Utilizes numerous sources to obtain and build development skills. Must mentor developers and jr. developers associated with skills in software application development as needed. Receives business requirements from client via a Business Analyst/architect to successfully develop applications, functions, and processes. Conducts and is accountable for unit testing for development assignments. Must be detail-oriented and follow-through on issues. Must be able to work on and manage multiple tasks in addition to working and leading other developers. Must have strong communication skills. Must work closely with project analysts to meet estimated production dates for client. Responsible for enhancing existing applications to meet the needs of ongoing efforts within software platforms. Records and tracks time worked on projects and assignments. Develops an understanding of TSYS, software platforms, and the credit card industry. Has an excellent understanding of project development/management processes, methodology, and the impact of the project management metrics. Participates and leads in team, department, and division meetings as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Four year college degree and 4 or more year’s professional experience or 6 or more year’s professional experience is required. Candidates should be proficient with working in the Visual Studio .NET IDE and with the .NET framework. Should have strong skills in Microsoft Visual C# .NET, Microsoft Visual Basic .NET, Microsoft ADO .NET and ASP .NET. Some experience in web services: XML, WSDL, SOAP, and UDDI. Along with some experience in SQL Server 2000, database design, SQL stored procedures, and transact SQL. Candidates with formal experience in known Object Oriented methodologies will receive special consideration. This includes UML, RUP, and tools including Rational Rose and/or Together J. Experience with full systems lifecycle design and development, including some business/process analysis experience. Project or team management experience years developing highly scalable, highly available enterprise applications is a plus. Some Experience building and architecting both Internet and client server applications. Enterprise systems integration experience. Knowledge of and experience with transactional database access concepts. Experience with development methodologies. Knowledge of application-level security concepts. Experience developing/integrating .NET based application frameworks.

Preferred Skills:
Microsoft certifications are a plus.
