Sr. Electrical Engineer - FPGA design

The Sr. Electrical Engineer is responsible for the definition, design and testing of electronic circuitry for the HGS and for HGS test equipment. This position is primarily a digital design position with emphasis on programmable logic, microprocessors, and video display system design. This position requires responsibility for all aspects of the design beginning with requirements definition up and through the introduction of the design into manufacturing. Support of projects includes schedule preparation and reporting of status on assigned tasks. This position will work with little or no supervision.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
o Design electronic circuits for a commercial Head Up Display
o Digital Design position with emphasis on programmable logic, microprocessors and video display systems design
o Define requirements for a new design and develop requirements specification.o Perform preliminary design-including block diagram trade off studies and design review.
o Perform detailed design-including schematics, design analysis breadboard tests, and design reviews.
o Perform functional tests and design verification test.
o Support Electrical Qualification Tests
o Develop Support Test Equipment
o Oversee efforts of less experienced electrical designers
o Provide Troubleshooting Support to Production and Customer Repair Departments

Requirements:

BSEE
Minimum of six years of electrical design experience
Design experience in a structured environment
6+ years FPGA design using HDL
Avionics experience a plus!
