Solutions Design Leader: Optimal Health
The Solution Design Leader is responsible for driving business growth by leading the development of a group of high priority product/solution projects through the product development lifecycle. Beginning with product concepts, this individual leads to process to define new product goals, manages the development of product and marketing requirements and supports the commercialization of the product/solutions. Manages a cross functional team to assure business objectives are met.
Responsibilities:
Participates in the establishment of goals and measures for processes and products and ensures the tools and framework are in place for execution.
Solicits input of business unit leaders, sales, internal operations, and customers to identify critical to quality and critical to customer solution requirements
Participate in the development and management of new product/solution development budget
Leads and manages a cross-functional team (permanent and contract staff) focused on achieving collaborative objectives through new product / solution enhancements
Leads team to make appropriate business recommendations at stage reviews to senior management considering risk, value, pricing, timing, and budget
Actively participate in the portfolio management process (project plans, capacity plans, dependencies, potential risks, etc.)
Using six sigma, consistently identify opportunities and implement changes that optimize the product development lifecycle
Conduct consistent and ongoing Performance Management and Career Development discussions and activities with direct reports
Contribute expertise to ideation related to the evaluation of future new products
Stay abreast of health care industry trends and competitor activities
Provide input and expertise, as needed, to support business development, sales, and account management processes
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a new product development environment, preferably health care related
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cross-functional team management and budgetary experience
Lean Six Sigma, Six Sigma Green Belt a strong plus
Minimum of a bachelor's degree with master's/MBA preferred
Experience working in a joint product development environment or collaboration a plus
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
