JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is seeking an experienced solutions architect to play a key leadership role in the IT organization. The solutions architect's core responsibility is to understand the business' technology needs in a given area, design a high-quality solution to meet those needs, and oversee the implementation of that design to ensure maximum scalability, flexibility, and ease of ongoing maintenance. Responsibilities include: ? Analyzing business requirements and designing solutions that meet those requirements ? Creating effective design artifacts that facilitate communication with the business intelligence and efficiently drive development activity ? Playing a key translation role between IT and the business intelligence to ensure a strategic fit ? Maintaining a broad and deep knowledge of the business intelligence current technology landscape as well as new technologies and best practices that can be applied ? Working closely with technical project managers to lead development teams ? Articulating and enforcing architectural standards ? Working with senior IT management and business Intelligence division to create and continually refine strategy REQUIRED SKILLS ? BA or MS in Computer Science or related field preferred ? Deep experience developing Java/J2EE enterprise solutions ? Experience operating in an architect role on enterprise-wide development projects ? 3-5 years of experience operating in a development lead/senior developer role ? Experience with at least one well-established development methodology ? Strong UML expertise ? Strong development leadership experience, including code reviews, and mentoring development staff in the correct application of development process ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills ? Development lead experience in a multisource, onshore/offshore environment is desirable ? ATG experience is desirable ? Content Management experience is desirable ? Data architecture, XML, SOA experience a plus ?
