Solutions Architect / Engineer

Classification: Full Time Compensation: $60000 to $85000 per year Technical Solutions Architecture Perform business requirements analysis necessary to design and construct the technical architecture to support the solution. Technical architecture solutions consist of a data warehouse, data quality tools, and associated delivery mechanisms.
Define and implement the architectural components including RDBMS, operating system platform, hardware and tools.Develop data requirements, data maps, transformation rules, and aggregation plans. Define strategies for data extraction, hygiene, acquisition, and loading.Work with the client and Solutions Architect to implement and continually refine data load best practices. Support overall architecture through operational processes. Recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards based upon best practice experience.Marketing Database Implementation
Ensure quality implementation by development and execution of detailed plans, delivery of operational best practices.
Work with the client technical team on the definition and planning of system implementation and growth forecasting.
Define and implement monitoring systems to perform load validation, to update and maintain metadata, and to ensure overall data integrity.Continually improve the capabilities, working with the best of breed solutions to develop and enhance delivery capabilities based on new technology.
Collaborate with other data warehouse experts to maintain consistency of architecture and best practices technology.EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

•Database experience with SQL Server 2000 and 2005, Oracle, and other RDBMS.
•Data Quality tool experience, especially First Logic IQ8, a plus
•Proficient in the use of database access and connectivity tools (Native, ODBC, JDBC) for both general access and decision support purposes
•ETL tool experience with tools such as SSIS, Microsoft DTS, Sagent, Informatica, Datastage, and Pervasive.
•Unica Suite integration experience a plus.•Reporting and Analytical experience with tools such as Business Objects, Microsoft Analytical Services, Crystal Reports, Brio, and other OLAP related tools.•Strong Microsoft Access and Excel skills a plus
•Knowledge of database maintenance and administration techniques
•Desired skills or related exposure include SQL, PL-SQL, T-SQL, JavaScript, Python, PERL, VB Script, XML,•1 plus years of data warehousing and business intelligence experience a plus
•2 plus years of practical work experience a plus
