SOFTWARE ENGINEERS

This position involves all phases of software development including design, coding, integration and debugging major portions of software projects such as Windows applications and/or embedded software.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Integrate software with hardware.
· Test and verify product functionality.
· Provide design reviews of new designs and design changes.
· Attend project, and department meetings as required.
· Work with the Director of PC Software Architecture to assure Company standards are being met when involved with PC. software design.

· BSEE or BSCE and a minimum of 3 years experience in software development.
· C/C++ and assembly programming.
· Design and code real-time software.
· Ability to work independently

Beneficial experience:
· Windows operating systems such as XP or XP embedded
· TCP, XML, RS232 Protocols
· Design of applications involving multi-threaded design and DLL. s.
· Design involving JSP, ASP, ODBC, and SQL.
· Document imaging.
· ATM and financial networks
· Embedded Motorola microprocessors
· Electronics hardware design.

SUMMARY:
Creates software for embedded applications used in micro-controller based electrical & mechanical devices for use by the general public. Would begin with maintaining existing systems and then move into developing new projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
OP Systems: Can work with Windows, DOS, some UNIX (desired).
Languages: Can program C, C++ (desired), Assembler (Motorola preferred).
Protocols: Familiar with communication protocols both wired and wireless.
Hardware: Familiar with serial ports and digital I/O.
Database: Able to create SQL queries (desired).

* Will perform some system level integration and equipment assembly.
* Able to read schematics & wiring diagrams (desired)
* Will use multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and communication analyzers.
REQUIREMENTS

Software QA Test Engineer(CONTRACT)
(6 months+)
($30-$40hr.)

Position Summary:
Creates and executes test plans and test suites needed by the project teams.
· Participates in ongoing status meetings with project personnel and records results of current and pending test requests.
· Maintains test results in the project file.
· Assures that test procedures are used correctly.
· Enters issues into the Issues Tracking software.
· Serves as the SQA representative, as needed, on change control teams making decisions on what issues/defects are to be addressed by development teams.
· Assists in design reviews during product development, especially as it relates to the SQA processes.
· Executes test procedures.
· Coordinates hardware or software prototyping that may be requested.

Minimum acceptable requirements:
· Minimum of two years experience in software quality assurance testing.
· Team skills to work effectively in a matrix relationship, particularly with development teams.
· Strong interpersonal, communication, and planning skills to accomplish goals within a matrix environment.
· Strong analytical and conceptual abilities.
· Must be proactive and display a high level of initiative.
· Must be comfortable with Windows, in particular for creating documents, spreadsheets, and email communication.
