Software Developer (H050-1652)

Mitretek is seeking an individual to join the Risk and Safety Management Alert System (RASMAS) software development team as a J2EE developer. The ideal candidate will have at least a 4-year college degree in computer science or engineering, a minimum of 2 years commercial software development experience in a J2EE software development environment, preferably but not necessarily WebSphere, a reasonable familiarity with current open source frameworks for J2EE development, and demonstrable quality development skills. This is a full-time on-site employee position.

The specific skills expected of this candidate include:

•Java/J2EE development including substantial production experience with the Servlet API, JSP and construction of web applications in the MVCII style
•J2EE experience developing to the Enterprise Java Bean version 2.0 specification, emphasis on MDB and Session Beans
•Websphere Application Server experience, preferably version 6.0
•Hibernate 3.0 experience including the basics of ORM mapping and some familiarity with the criteria interface
•Spring 2.0 configuration and development including experience in integrating with WebSphere Application Server
•Struts and Java Server Faces development
•Constructing complex SQL queries under SQL-92 and/or PL/SQL
•At least three of the following
•Design and development of custom registries for WebSphere version 6
•Design and development of JSR168 portlets
•Design and implementation of web services using WSDL
•Design and implementation of authorization frameworks using JAAS interfaces
•Design and implementation of application monitoring components using Tivoli Composite Application Monitor for WebSphere or its recent predecessors
•Design and development of application personalization using J2EE and a rules-based approach
•Design and development of custom renderers within Java Server Faces

In-person interviews for this position will involve producing a code portfolio and a programming skill evaluation by the development team.
