Senior Project Designer

Purpose: Requires extensive knowledge of all areas of interior design and the ability to work on projects of any size and/or complexity. May act as a project leader. Familiar with a variety of the field?s concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks including but not limited to:

-Assists Executive VP of Design and VP of Design.
-Assists in research and manufacturer selection and review.
-Training and supervision of design staff.
-Participates in conceptual design
-May provide FF&E guidance to designers for additional selections.
-Produces FF&E budget.
-Supervises designers for all selections, specifications and spec books.
-Coordinates job site supervision and installation as required.
-Review interior design documents prior to issuance.
-Prepares/supervises punch list
-Attends new product meetings as time allows.
-Travels for job related research and purchases.
-Provides guidance and coordination with consultants.
-Prepares field visit reports for issue by Project Coordinator.
-Interacts with upper management as well as other departments for document coordination.
-May act as contact for purchasing department inquires.
-Monitors project schedules.
-Designs and produces computer graphic documentation for custom designed interior elements, to include, but not limited to, furnishings, carpeting, fabrics, art, wallcovering, glass, murals, lighting.
-Produces presentation and study renderings.

Supervises: Designers as assigned for each project.

Reports to: Executive V.P. of Design, V.P. of Design and Sr. Project Manager

Qualifications:
-Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with clients as well as within the Company.
-Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, handling sensitive information concerning both the Company and its clients.
-Must be adept at multi-tasking, with exceptional organizational skills as well as a highly developed sense of design.
-Must be proficient in MS Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
-AutoCAD 2004/5 experience may be required.
-Must have a strong technical interior design background and knowledge in producing and reviewing of interior design documents.
-Must have a strong knowledge of all code compliances related to Interior Design.
-Minimum of 10 years experience in Commercial Interior Design, preferably with extensive experience in Casino and Hospitality Design.
-4 to 5 years Degree in Interior Design and/or Interior Architecture from an accredited University is preferred. Acceptability based on portfolio review, interview and prior job history.

Environmental Conditions:
Climate controlled. Hot and cold temperatures due to construction site conditions. Odors, fumes, dust as a part of construction site materials. Noise due to machinery or co-workers. Open office environment. May require lifting of drawings and/or samples.
